A Song Begins With Water Tune Poem by Haiqing Hua

A Song Begins With Water Tune

Poet:Su, Shi(Acient China)
Tr by: Oliver Hua (Canada)

When will be there a full moon?
Dare to ask God only with wine in hand.
Knowing nothing about the heaven,
What year is the night?
I want to return with the wind,
However afraid the jade palaces so magnificient,
It is that height makes heavenly life so cold.

The dance with shadow hollows,
Amoon dance is unreal to earth:
It turns the red mansion,
It humbles the most colorful buildings,
It is the moon makes me fully sleepless tonight.
It is such a regret:
Why there is always a full moon when we depart?
People can depart in grief and reunion in joy,
The moon can be bright and dim as well as perfect and in disappearance,
It carried forward ever since the beginning of the time.
My wish is for us to be long,
So that we can share the moon even thousand miles apart!
