A Sonnet On A Fine Lass Poem by sibi sekar

A Sonnet On A Fine Lass

A Sonnet on a fine lass

Blessed am I as thy beauteous eyes see.
Red rubies, crystals fine there be.
Deserve thee honour with angelic gift
but none I’ve thy royalty can fit.
First time meeting, as you talk
Fair, fine time flee as I hark.
Sought I thee in my heart’s heart.
Yet, alas! go away far thou art
Soul pure, divine dost thou possess.
Beauty charming all so in excess.
Many a word, letter hitherto sent
For no fairer way for heart to vent.
Lush gardens, parks, nature I’ve seen.
None, charming as thou hast been.
