A Special Friend Poem by Gail Grierson

A Special Friend

Did you ever think
There’d come a day
You’d find a special friend?
A friend you’d pass
The hours away with
Talking hours on end.

We’d share a joke
A laugh or two
Seemed fun would last forever.
But then one day
He could not play
On his computer whatsoever.

The hours passed
Each like a year
One day he reappeared.
It was so good
To have him back
I welcomed him, I cheered.

The fun was back
We can play our game
No matter what the weather
For we can stay
Online you see
And spend the time together.
