A State Of Attraction Poem by Rob Knetsch

A State Of Attraction

With closed eyes i saw them appear
golden waves moving toward me
growing into a magnificent flood
hitting me like a warm shower

Touching my skin while like silver
the cold drops entered my skin
i felt my body absorbing the metal
as like iron made me feel magnetic

It all was attracted by me, my body
touching me and growing attached
i could not get out, away from this
felt enclosed, getting claustrophobic

Pulling forward i found a doorway
unlocked, giving me the chance
to get away from this orbital pull
feeling rejected i opened my eyes
