A State Of Her Mind Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A State Of Her Mind

Rating: 5.0

Tears were rolling from her eyes
Time had come to say me good bye
I was resting on her crossed leg
She starred at me as if was trying to beg

I don’t know what made her to think
She was down with the thoughts and sunk
I knew nothing about her status of mind
She remained calm and always kind

I was on short vacation from my service
I was called at home on some relative’s demise
I tried to spend good time with her
She always thought too much and bothered

All mothers of world may be same
God has specially chosen them o come
She under goes pain but always welcome
New arrival from her womb is dear some

What a sacrifice from living mother?
She has nothing except her child to bother
She has only one top most priority
Child should always remain in vicinity

It is deep love and affection
She is not affected by any tension
Her dream is fulfilled with simple cry from child
She looses no patience and gets slightly wild

I was woken up by small drops
They were falling non stop
I just raised my eyes to see
I found my self under the tree

“Why mom, do you cry” I parried question
“No, nothing” she didn’t make any mention
I could guess she was unhappy about my departure
She had seen many dreams in my future

I was in service of the motherland
I was motivated by her and nearly trained
She wanted her one of the child to be dedicated
On many occasion she had her wishes made known or indicated

It came as complete surprise with shock
I was now in sense and fully awoke
It was weakening my spirit
I saw in her eyes bright light

They were beaming with confidence
This was not the first incidence
Many a times she was in such state
The tears were rushing very late

I could understand her position
She had no more question
It was only an emotional cry
I couldn’t ask her further why

She had offered what others couldn’t do?
With the entire mother’s it is equally true
I was fortunate enough to find her caring
Her spirit and strength was definitely daring

I touched her feet but could say nothing
She wanted to say something
I kept her smiling all the way
She found in me bright ray
