The pink dress Jane is wearing
is 'up with the trend';
Fashion never falters
with 'make-do-and-mend'.
A little tuck here
and a little stitch there,
and Jane steps out at Ascot
with glamour and flair.
All set for the sunshine
in a hat from her store,
Jane's a popular lady...
with admirers galore.
Spending has ended
with 'make-do-and-mend'.
Just a reel of white cotton and
'a stitch in time' is her friend.
