A Stranger In A Strange Land Poem by Sofia Jacobs

A Stranger In A Strange Land

Deep, dark in a forest
Lived a retired old florist
In an old attic, full of dust
With steel pipes covered in rust

The florist, as magical as can be
Waved her wand and chopped down a tree
To make a city all of wood
Filled with plenty of delicious food

Months later she announced it was done
All ready for little people to have fun

A little man walked right in
Who also happened to be an inventor
He recently discovered this new fun center

The florist noticed something a little off
Then resumed to check on her little kingdom
To find a strange man, little, yet charming in her eyes
Who would have guessed that mischief could earn him a prize?

A prize of love, for the rest of his life
He got on one knee and made her his wife

Old, frail, yet so alike
Just normal people struck by cupid
Made a choice to be stupid
And run away on a two seated bike
