A Surprise Poem by Maymay Marie

A Surprise

Rating: 5.0

one ordinary day, the news startled us,
A package was brought with goodies,
They came from different colors and families,
A horn that a hand was to extend.

A sudden preparation was made to the party,
Footsteps and texts were done hastily,
At first, it was in the morning, then later,
At lunch and soon after lunch started.

The lunch was served before the frontliners,
Others joined, talks were a breeze to the room,
Soon spectators arrived to witness the party,
That talked of the package brought.

Happiness overload in each face,
The hand will be extended to the needy,
Love and hope were the keys to face,
Tremendous storms, things against odds.

The package was finally held by the leaders,
To the office of the rights,
Applauded and greetings moved,
Great love overtook.
