A Promise To Carry Poem by Maymay Marie

A Promise To Carry

In the distance the white shadows covered,
Greeted the sun, mountains, the enormous bound,
Nearer the window another white flower greeted,
Smiles toward the sun and the window still.

In the midst of surrounded greenery grand,
The tall trees stood wearing hellos and goodbyes,
To those who passed by down from their stature,
The breeze on one occasion visited them.

The white that filled the sky,
Stood still wearing a promise,
That to hope for the bright nearing,
From a dark night was not too heavy to carry,

Heart crumpled brought by waves,
Tears came anywhere without announcement,
Yet to learn on the white from the sky,
The shoulders carried the promise.

Everyone made a step,
Both to reap the smile and the frown,
Yet one must remember that the sky,
Had made a promise to carry.
