A Thought Poem by Nithya Balachandran

Sitting beside my window,
I gazed at the charming night sky.
My mind got filled with a kind
of overflowing peacefulness,
inefflable and unique!

The air outside was so cool.
And through the open window,
it entered my room,
slowly and noiselessly,
and it tenderly embraced my whole body!

'Ting' 'ting' 'ting' 'ting'.
fell the drops of rain
on the ground, with a rythym,
so pleasing and soothing!
There was something alluring about it!

But then a thought suddenly
flashed cross my mind.
that left my mind a bit disturbed.

Nature, it nurtures and loves us
but what do we give her in return?
