A Title Is Unnecesary Poem by Andy Basore

A Title Is Unnecesary

Rating: 5.0

Hold my hand,
and we'll walk.
Just keep me close,
and we can talk.

Tell me a secret,
and we'll run away,
the wind in our hair;
and everyone can stare.

We wont give a damn,
because we'll be,
the highlight of our lives
and no one will stop us;

-Not even time.

Andy, I like this very much! I can see why you liked mine! I hope you won't mind me offering this comment: the last two lines could be dropped. They add nothing as they are and to end on 'the highlight of our lives' would be very powerful. If you're going to raise an issue of people & time trying to stop you, then you need to deal with it more fully, not just raise it and leave it hanging? Forgive me for presuming: my excuse is that I've been writing and teaching English since long before you were born and I love to see talent made the most of! Regards, Roy
