A true friend is the second self
who is ever-ready to help
It doesn't matter if it's night or day
he is ready to share each sorrow and joy.
His love is pure, not judgmental
who accepts you as you're, with no compulsion at all.

Whenever you are low or down
He comes to your life as a rising sun
and makes your life brighter and smoother
by filling it with smiles and endless cheer.
He turns grey depression into a beautiful morn
and brings spring to your life in stark autumn.
With whom you can share every occasion
whose unsaid mutuality and reciprocity are true foundations.

A true friend is a boon companion
who loves you through thick and thin,
who shares and cares all the time,
His unwavering love and affection,
and ceaseless care and concern
are to be treasured and cherished,
that nourishes the soul when it's diminished
In true friendship proximity or distance doesn't matter
What truly matters is the reciprocation in full measure
