A Wall Of Masks - Poem by Robert Kallend

Hiding behind a wall of masks, creating that shrouded appearance of Which you behold. The belief that no one will understand, the true Meaning of your deepest sorrows.

Going to sleep all torn up inside, the never ending pain you associate With sadness. The shocking acceptance of this disposition, waking up To another depressing day to come.

Words escape you and feelings devoid, for the only chance of closure, Is that of which that is inevitable. Each day draws it closer the mystery That is. Death.

Hoping that each day will be your last, looking longingly for that eternal Sleep, that eventually will take you from this world. From the pain, the Misery from the life you no longer want.
