A Waltz Wave: Upon A Glacial Lake Poem by Lillian Susan Thomas

A Waltz Wave: Upon A Glacial Lake

Rating: 2.9

The
mountain
lays
upon
a glacial
lake's smooth
skin
until
a fish jumps
at dusk to catch
a dragon-
fly that
hangs
above
watching it-
self in
the
mirror
there.

Another version of you 'lake's smooth skin' - I can see the fish jumping! Wonderful.

There is something so timeless, so silent and delicate about the imagery of this beautiful poem. The simplicity of the language makes it all the more potent.10++
