A Warm Evening - Poem by Michael P. McParland

As I lay here in bed my sweet dear
just slightly drifting while resting
and hoping soon to get feeling better
I just think of you and sharing sweet kisses
as we just held each other.
I know that is our future but I just wish
I could have you right here in this moment and then forever
to share a warm evening of complete peace and comfort.
A warm evening with my beautiful Kira
is everything that's wanted and needed by me my sweet lady.

As I lay here sweet Kira I want to thank you
because I can feel you so closely and it is
helping me so immensely,
you're keeping me from crying and you're
as always keeping me and my heart going.
I love you my sweet Kira and wish you were right
here in person so I could just tightly hold you
and say thank you and I love you my Angel over and over.
I want a warm evening where I could just
lay here and hold you so tightly and drift off to sleep
feeling that all was finally right because I'd be with you.

God bless you sweet Kira and I so deeply
and completely love you,
I wish I could just lay here and hold you
giving sweet kisses so deeply and telling you
how much you mean to me.
A warm evening with my sweet lady Kira
is what my heart longs for so deeply and truly.
A warm evening with you my sweet Kira
is what I am dreaming of as I lay here recovering.
I love you sweet lady and my arms as I wrap them around you
with all of these sweet kisses and hugs,
let them fill you with the warmth that I hold.
I so truly treasure you and I fully cherish you
and I just want to hold you right now
and share a warm evening of peace in our true love.
