A Whistle In The Fog - Poem by jose felix

i love her.
and she loves me.
yet i am alone.
drifting out towards the sea.
the things i left behind.
there placed under our tree.
cause if i dont come back.
ive buried a piece of me.

washed away by light.
i saw what i became.
i cant leave this place.
only cause you are me.
im forced to shake this memory free.

while i drown in an empty sea.

the sting of my broken arm.
sometimes you just cant have enough.
hold my shaking hands and guide me home.

ive never felt so old.
