A Window Poem by Kris Rayagiri

A Window

Rating: 5.0

Running through the fields
trying to reach you
gushes of wind
guiding me through
each and every step
makes me clear
each and every step
makes me feel real

I was stuck and I felt so morbid
I felt the pain escaping as I kept running
threshing my sorrow
winnowing my pain
I remember what I have to gain
as I move forward I remember
I remember all the warmth
I remember all the love
I remember all the comfort
i received, O what a sain
finally, I'm free
finally, I'm free

As I move towards you leaving everything behind
I feel so light
I feel so free
I leave all the burdens that were hauling me
weighing me down
I groan and I whimper
As I sit on a chair

No matter the time
each and every day
I was always on my way
l lived my life on a thread
I now am
being bathed and fed

As the end is near
my thoughts do not know
What I fear, what I love
As I lay on my bed
I see through the window
I think of
running through the fields
trying to reach you
gushes of wind
guiding me through
each and every step
makes me clear
each and every step
makes me feel real
