A Woman Like No Other Poem by Bryan Taplits

A Woman Like No Other

A splendid fight,
A comet's flight,
Flying in space,
a trajectory towards her tool.
And the woman piloting this flight
She darkens the night-
And soon darkened
His daylight too.

Yes, she was a woman like no other-
For 'No other' endeavor was such a prize,
He had once viewed his luck
as enormously high-
as his grins grew exceedingly wide-
while his wisdom
furtively flew by-
As he would try and he would try
and he would try.

What a gift
was this woman 'like no other',
A pennant he
proudly once unfurled,
This woman who repeatively
was 'like no other'-
And who once excited his penitent passions-
which reluctantly-
long since-
have curled.
