Responsibilities Poem by Brooke Renwick

Responsibilities

Whence it sprung within
I was determined to find the exit
Whence it hurt
I was assured it was but a scratch
Now I sit numb and see nothing
The punch has left my mind blank.
Go forth again
Whence it is over
You will have given it momentum.
Mark my words.
