About Nothing At All...... Poem by RIC BASTASA

having read your poem
i sigh
and take some gasps
of the wind
and i feel i have grasped
what is there
to be taken inside
and keep it, and this made
me write
another one, and another one,
without so much
thought what is this all
about,
and if you must feel
the way i feel, which i desire
not to the utmost,
believing more in the spontaneity
of thought
the life of words, the living
matter within our thoughts,
the way they too live their
own lives,
like some kinds of seeds
sprouting after the night
and the rain,
who cares where is this
taking us? who cares what
are these?
all moving and passionate
about nothing at all.
