Abyss Inside Me Poem by Diya Guha Roy

Abyss Inside Me

Rating: 4.5

There are times when I look into the chaos in my mind
The torments generated by the currents of life
The inconceivable complexity arising from the non-compliance
Of societal norms, which surrounded my being amidst the mass
And then I arise from the furnace of these norms
Hiding in the plethora of forgotten purposes
The lechers and the lepers meeting in a dimension
Where nothing can satiate their urges in harmony
The temporal and spatial differences and the
Indifferences of the souls constricted by the usual demands
The gathering and assembly can touch my superficial existence
And the true but latent wills, wishes sleep surrounded by nihilism

An insightful depiction of life at low ebb, well articulated and nicely penned in heightened poetic diction with conviction. Thanks for sharing Diya. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

Your poem reminded me Sartre's 'Nausea' and the Existentialists.. A very well crafted philosophical poem Diya.. Thank you for sharing..
