Acceptance Poem by Surabhi Singh

Acceptance

I stand in silence,
Tears cascading down my face
As my hands clutch for a semblance of you

Memories slip through my fingertips,
Falling like beads of water from a faucet,
Dropping softly towards the ground

The wind shifts,
Gently caressing my lips,
Sun enveloping me into a warm embrace

The person I was with you,
She is gone now,
Leaving someone stronger in her wake
