Acceptance Poem by Tina Dang

Acceptance

Rating: 5.0

Why should I care what society thinks of me?
Don't hate me because I have a mind of my own and choose to act differently.

The least peolple should worry about ever is acceptance.
However there are world issues to be sought after and is of more importance.

How naive of me to believe that us humans, would eventually, grow up and out of 'cliques'.
But I guess for some of us, we'll always be stuck at the age of six.

Well for what it's worth, i'm not sorry for how and/or who I am.
When it comes down to it, I don't really give a DAMN!

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Nope you should not give much thought to what others think as long as you are not hurting others with your actions...it does not matter what others think of you, it's what you think of yourself that matters, really it is! I know many people who always try to be what others want them to be...and if you do that you are never authentically U...noone can be you and no one has more of a vested interest in U as much as yourself.Sad to say but if you worry about what others think of you all the time, you would soon realize you can not please everyone and you would be surprised to find out how little they actually really do think of U....it most of the time is a 'Me' or 'I' world... Believe in yourself Tina and keep sharing your views and Take care of U........ =Shelley=
