Accidental Baby Poem by Keith Anastase KAMOSSO

Accidental Baby

What about me that is what I said
Over a discussion of the lack of space
I couldn't breathe to suffocate you
But do you really feel alive without me?
Do you belong in a world without me?
Before one of use come along
It was nothing to witness in the frame
Was it dark or it was clear
Enough for you to see the light with your eyes closed
Remember you used to call me the light
Because you could even see me in the darkness
But what happened to that heart you carried
In your chest the center of your body
Where my name sounded happily charming
With my voice like salvation song
I don't feel like leaving right now
Not before you tell me who you thought I was
But not an accidental baby
