Walking through a field
Of thick black grass.
When I saw a cave, up ahead.
There was a crevasse in the wall
Jagged, with a funny smell
Emanating from it.
For some reason, I found it alluring
Intoxicating, drawn to it.
Since night was coming on
I decided to take shelter in the cave.
I crawled in, finding it moist and warm inside,
And the scent was euphoric.
I fell instantly into the realm of sleep,
But in what seemed like seconds
I was awakened, by an earthquake.
The cave walls pulsated, liquid started filling the cave,
And the temperature was rising rapidly.
I tried to stand to run out of the cave but slipped and fell.
As I tried to gather myself and run out
A gigantic Sightless worm burst through the entrance
And started spitting some vile disgusting fluid on me.
I must have passed out, because the next thing I remember
I was waking up between two mountain ranges
And the sun was out.

Beware, the deep dark caves that call; run to the mountains with the bright sun! Cool poem mi hermano, perhaps a hike in the Mojave would cleanse the soul!
