Act 2 Scene 1 Poem by Ruth L. Rivers

Act 2 Scene 1

A part of my life is gone...it left without bidding 'So long! '
Sad as I am about its vanishing act...I still am feeling mostly glad
I lived through it with hardly a care...never believeing it there
Skipping along the winding streets...light n' breazy on top of my feet
So I wave to the remains of its shadow...gazing at the end of a show
Once I took part of its story...revelling in the bounty of youth and glory
Clearly oblivious to each scenes end...I followed with every turn and bend
Ahhh that is how it goes...so now I look on to the next part of my show
