Act 2 Scene 3 Poem by brianna arnott

Act 2 Scene 3

Act 2 (wearing all your saddness as a fashion)
Scene 3 (the echo before the sound)

(the LOVER is at the COFFEE SHOP. the LOVED enters and sits at the table)

the LOVED: a quick shock and you come to life again, gasping like you never learned how.

the LOVER: how could you?

the LOVED: how could YOU? ? it echos like live rounds you threw in the fire.

(the LOVER is visibly upset, the LOVED continues)

the LOVED: you wanted to be so much better alone, but who heard you cry? you wanted to see it all on your own, but what did you find?

(the LOVER starts smiling)

the LOVED: wipe that smug look off your face. you only look good because you've learned how to lie.
so bask in the glow from corpses of lovers that you've set on fire.

(the LOVED gets up and storms out, the LOVER stares blankly for awhile the exits)
