Adjusting - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Adjusting - Lincoln Park Zoo

This lioness is one gal who
Is ready for Chicago cold
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
All furred up in my coat of gold.
From South Carolina I came,
Where not so chilly winter is.
But I've adjusted just the same
To this Chicago winter biz.
Staying outside as oft I choose
Gives the guests the chance to connect
With me, there's warmed rocks I can use,
Providing a toasty effect.

Baby, oh yeah, it's cold outside.
I don't complain, I have my pride.
