Advice - Who Wants, These Days? Poem by Dr John Celes

Advice - Who Wants, These Days?

Advice is one thing, most may hate;
Adults or youth, it meets same fate;
Advice is free; so most don't take;
Some blatant lies can make it fake!

The world ignores advice from wise,
As virtues seem tougher than vice;
The easier routes and short-cuts please;
Most love to live in sin with ease!

The world has changed a lot these days;
Who wants to follow great men's ways?
The corrupt minds wallow in crimes;
Some murders happen just for dimes!

But God will teach His ways to all;
He rescues us when we do fall;
He wants all to be righteous first;
And so, for truth and God, we thirst.
