Aesop's Fables Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Aesop's Fables

Tiny tales, with fur and feather,
Teach us lessons, light as weather.
A slow old friend, a speedy boast,
'Slow and steady' wins the most.

A naughty child, a lonely cry,
False alarms can make folks shy.
The fox so sly, the crow so vain,
Sharing lessons, again and again.

From ancient Greece, these stories came,
Whispering wisdom, like a gentle flame.
Of honest hearts and foolish pride,
In animal friends, our truths reside.
