African Violet Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

African Violet

Rating: 4.0

Pink flowers,
White flowers,
With velvety leaves;
African Violet!
With the muse of Africa.
Bills, gills, hills, fills!
Agglomerate;
Vantage,
Vintage,
Passage;
Mill, still, bill, till, will!
Language,
Age,
Advantage;
Agglutinate.
Pill, ill, spill!
Not to kill your neighbour with your negative works.
Africa! ! !
With the muse of the Nile;
Joy in your heart! !
With the smile on your face;
The echoes of your joy!
To be heard,
A mile away.
African Violet,
Grand,
Brand,
Band,
Sand,
Land,
Aggrandizes!
The task,
To ask;
With the muse of the African Mask.
African Violet,
With velvety leaves;
With the muse of Africa,
Quick-witted.
