After Basho's Frog Haiku Poem by Richard G Berg

After Basho's Frog Haiku

A pond or a lake
In the mist. It seems
The same
A splash inks blank thoughts

By the water's edge
A boy
Suddenly a splash
Croaking his green glee

They recall science
At school: frogspawn, tadpoles
Splash!
Words dry up. Lessons
