After Death Poem by David Blair

After Death

As in Life
so in Death
I found myself
ignored and insignificant.

I had thought
that after dying
I would be
someone important.

But no...I have
spent months
wandering around
this Celestual Palace.

There are thousands
of other souls
coming and going.
Some up and some down.

I've made a few
friendships but
they all seem
to drift away.

I don't speak
to any of
the Angel types.
They are too intimidating.

I think it is important to give something to this life. A helping hand, an act of kindness, to truly give, a smile, and a write a great poem :)
