After That Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

After That

After that

In the rain
To the right
Saw the things…

-they were there
-they have been
-forever
-tens of years
-for ages

-not for me…
-a blind, too busy
-never paid attention
-cared to see

-eyes focused on gadget to hear:
-this is where your route is!

Not today
I ignored GPS
-turned it off
-and shouted:
-you bastard!

Seeing these beauties
-confirms that:
-the gadgets are shitty
-drive us dumb, ignored
-empty…

So:
-hell with the Technic! ! !

I swear I want to:
-live in caves and deserts
-on the sea
-but remain a man and
-alert and aware and…
-have a heart in beating
-for love, care and sharing.
