For a moment
I turned away
caught
in my child-like adornment
embarrassed
but just as quickly
and without thought
I returned to stare
and she was beautiful.
Have seen beauty before
but never had I noticed hers.
My heart smiled
as she ran fingers
through auburn hair
the artistry glorious
her smooth, soft hands
topped of elegant,
well manicured nails
exiting the thickness
of her crowning fall warmth
in slight curls.
I watched as she trailed her presence
tracing every God given curve
every life given scar.
The naked body is a beautiful thing.
I find honor in that she
has found comfort in me.
My eyes will not abandon her
glory ever again, they cannot
for I have come to enjoy the view
of the lady in the mirror.
