Tiny Deaths Poem by Tammy Hendrix ~ A Soul in Pieces

Tiny Deaths

Rating: 5.0

I close my eyes at night.

Imagine a life without pain.

No longer shrouded in hatred.

No affection given in vain.

For I am made of love.

I say goodbye to fear.

~

I pray for absolution,

a state of utter freedom.

Forgiven for my transgressions.

I ask this of everyone.

For I am remorseful,

I say goodbye to sin.

~

I hope for a lover to find me.

In tune with all my doubts.

Patient with understanding.

Willing to work it out.

For I am made of desire,

I say goodbye to sabotage.

~

I dream to live in contentment.

Wishing for it to deliver me.

No more expecting to happen,

I endeavor to make it be.

For I am made of effort,

I say goodbye to sloth.

~

I envision a world of unity,

one without singularity.

People living for each other.

From egotism we are free.

For I am made of harmony,

I say goodbye to vanity.

~
