After The Evening Silhouette Poem by Gerry Legister

After The Evening Silhouette

The vast and beautiful company of emotions
Around the future aura, lit, that flame in mind.
Incarnadined, fresh, blush, flesh tries to define.
Feelings creeping up deep inside from behind.

Night lingers on where the darkness enshrouds.
Through voiceless distance over land and sea.
Mysteries we cannot see fills the hazy clouds.
Sighs in the desire, conceived about our destiny.

Dreams fade into the late winds of morning dew.
Through the woods pierce glimpses of daylight.
Lifting the cold veil off the leafy leaves renew
With warm seethes the temperature rises in flight.

During the entire day fraught with anxious groans
Those we own and the clones atop with wings.
Clamour with a thousand vices like mocking clowns.
We try to hush them away but find more gremlins.

Shadowy gulf staring at your etch face from within
the evening silhouette, hedge in fantasy of torment.
And in those sacred moments you recall the dream.
Every sound at length lent credence to a cry of intent.

That could have been the best vision you have seen.
Now they are surrounded with vast solemn clouds.
Of voiceless petitions whistling anxiously in the wind
And you hear the cries of your own soul enshrouds.
