After The Storm Clears Poem by M. Bloom

After The Storm Clears

Rating: 4.5

The bodies bleeding, screaming in pain
As the Agent falls from the sky
Onto the amber waves of grain

And the support rolls in, camouflaged

Only to turn the world black and blue
And bludgeon all that disagree
To put death's dark marks in view

Yet after the storm clears
And the world returns to spring
There is but another rainbow
Amidst the clear sky

And another... And another... And another...

Its colors hoisted like valiant flags
Into the heavens
Just to grab our attention
As we find amusement in them

But only few know
The true colors
Of something so glorious
And so free...

...And of the destruction
In the path of the eternal storm
