Mug Of Tea Poem by M. Bloom

Mug Of Tea

Rating: 5.0

Lights
Everdimmed
Glowing
Off the rim
Of the mug
Still warm
Inner hearth
Again forms
With each sip
Serenity
Melts into
Sweet memories:
Childhood friends
Behind closed eyes
Smile is forming
Pleasant surprise
Dripping thick
Like caramel dreams
Twilight's coming
So it seems
Sunset painting
Autumn breeze
Tranquility in
Falling leaves
The wonders
Of a mug of tea
Reflecting the gleam
Far behind me

This describes perfectly the first sip of hot tea and all that comes with it. I really liked this poem :)

I added this to my favorites list. I love the rhythm, how all the words bounce off your tongue as you read, and the comforting nostalgia brought on by a sip of hot tea. Well done!
