Aftermath Poem by Zombie Chow

Aftermath

Rating: 5.0

Thought, I will rule the world one day
Thought, I will rule her heart too
Thought, let me take the test
I felt it would be easy to get through

Now that the Dooms day has passed
And I see the remains all around
It feels so good to survive the death spree
But who is he lying in the pool of blood
Why does he look like me?
No! It can’t be…. it can’t be….. me! ! .

Sought all the strength from my bones
Sought her charitable support too
Sought every help I could
I was a fool to think I would get it too.

Now even though nothing remains
My ego tries to fool around
It says I survived the misery
But who is he lying in the pool of blood
Why does he look like me?
No! It can’t be…. it can’t be….. me! ! .

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Impressive poem, the narrator starts out ready to rule the world, take his love, and he ends dead on the floor. Great visuals, sharp language.
