There is this thundercloud
At my gate
Around every afternoon
Threatening to rain
With rumbling abdominal pain
Is he very close?
Nay, he is far away
Loosening himself
On the balding pate
Of a hill far far away
This guy has the freedom
To move fast over my lonely home
In a downpour of deluge
During my afternoon interlude
Of lazy slumber and broken thoughts
Flow rivers of craziness
On my soul's unsettled surface
Thank you cloud
Move forward
My aridness awaits
Your enveloping embrace
Waste not this afternoon
Let us incubate soon
Dreams and poesy presided by a beaming moon
Wandering over mind's receding plains
Thank you Valsa-ji. I thought you became a US citizen from your recent appearances on fb. Thank God, a poet of your calibre is still around in a hopeless Kerala with a promise of aesthetic renaissance. May our friendship flourish although there has been a lull due to circumstances beyond control.
Thank you Rajendran ji! I am very much here. My trip to the US has been of a short duration of one month! Because of a busy time, I am not able to spend much time on poem hunter or face book! Of course I admire you as a great writer and our friendship goes in tact!

Yesterday evening literally there was a thunder cloud and a deluge of downpour all over Kerala and Tamil Nadu! Great write!
There is threatening of rain at every afternoon. Let us incubate soon the dreams and feel mind's perception. Flow of river of craziness is definitely interesting. A brilliant poem with rich imagery is excellently penned.10
On the balding pate Of a hill far far away What a wonderful description!
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
maybe " loosing himself" . maybe " ...presided over by a.." the cloud seems to be very close, but maybe simultaneously far away. i wish i could do such a trick! " abdominal pain" ? Is YOUR 'stomach' 'tied in knots', needing a muse-cloud to spur your creative genius? ? bri :) i think Kelly's is the " balding pate" .
Thanks Bri for choosing to loosen on my poem! . Amusing is your sense of humour, I should say. Hope Kelly agrees.
