Again Poem by River Jordan

Again

You're crying again,
broken on the floor,
dying inside again.

I hold you tight again,
I say 'Don't cry, '
I comfort you again.

You're cutting again,
covered in thick red liquid,
laying on the floor again.

I heal you again,
love you more,
trying to protect you again.

You're trying to end it again,
rope tied, gun loaded, blade ready,
thinking about it again.

I stop you again,
always here and never far,
I say 'I'll always love you, ' again.

You're cradled in my arms again,
sound asleep and surprised you can't see your value,
only wishing that you knew again.

But then I wasn't there in time,
I strayed to far for you to reach,
and now I apologize again.

Should've been me,
I deserve the pain,
I cry and stay up late again.

Again, again, again...
