To My Dearest Friend Poem by River Jordan

To My Dearest Friend

Said we'd never end,
live our lives together,
til the very end.

Like siblings,
never been apart,
closer then close.

Always there at my lows,
bringing me up,
we risen and rose.

Promised to never leave,
did the different thing,
guess what we say and do are two opposite things.

Ended it early,
no longer together,
now always apart.

Why did you do it,
can't blame you,
what should i do?

We could've talked,
made it okay,
make it better.

Crying day and night,
missing you hurts,
you gave your pain to me.

Trying hard to blow it over,
but it hurts to even think,
your loss is killing me.

cant you see,
you broke me,
but i cant blame you.

I'd have done it to,
while missing you,
soon together.

We'll be reunited,
up in the heavens,
when my time comes.

But for now i'll stay,
looking at the sky and say,
'i'll be there soon.'
