Again In Delight Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Again In Delight

Let us consider mother earth
With emotions to breathe
Think about her tolerance
For giving us beautiful chance

Not a word to be spoken
As it may amount only token
We owe so much to the land
But we have ignored her with different trend

All her beauty is violated
The trees are uprooted
The birds have no nest
Still we want peaceful rest

Where are beautiful forests?
Why no flowers blossom and smile at?
I wonder it as displeasure
And certain doom for our future

What shall we gift to our generation?
Nothing worth for citation
No fresh air to breathe
River waters polluted to invite slow death

Still it will last
And not disintegrate fast
Give her peace and respite
We shall find her again in delight

Again In Delight
