Aging Rules Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Aging Rules

Aging has no specific rules
Lines of transitions are faint
Motion and movement retard
Strands of hair turn white
Reasoning is more adaptive
Actions are more selective
Time becomes less a companion
But a tool for a purposeful relationship
The past is in renaissance
The present is a season
The future is a certainty
Fear comes with apprehension
Hope is a feeling of compassion
Life is gone in stages
The man or woman becomes a sage
Aging is a surety
A journey of no return
That no man or woman wishes to embark
Nonetheless, it can never be avoided
