There are tears to shed but much more to wipe;
There are joys to live for but more to give;
There are days to remember and some to forget;
There are places to visit but some to avoid;
There are friends to make and foes to love;
There are moments special that we can never forget.

There are smiles to show but more smiles to evoke;
There are laughs to make but much laughter to create.
There are roles to play and goals to attain;
There are footprints to leave and more scars to remove;
There are duties to perform than ones to demand;
There is love to take but much more to make!

There are wishes to make but more promises to keep;
There are dreams to realize but more realities to dream of;
There are hopes to live life and travail to cope with;
There are words to hear but better ones to utter;
There is advice to give but more to live by!
There is scant time in life but none to waste!
