Who has heard of ‘Ajangbila’
Her fame know no bound
Her children are everywhere
They do better and are preferred
Outside their shore
Though endowed with treasures
But enjoyed by aliens
They find body nourished
And their heart merry
‘Ajangbila’
A place where terror thrift
Criminals are celebrated
The immoral are immortalized
They mourn the exit
Of the evil ones
For they love to behold
Their wicked vices
Monsters chosen as mentors
The perverted are preferred
Justice cried in the street
Raising voice on the mount
He proclaimed the truth
In every public place
But his mouth was gagged
His eyes gouged out
His streams was corrupted
He shouted with all strength
But heard by himself
The good and better ones
Were counted too good to live
They were killed cold blooded
They were massacred openly
Patriotism no more patronized
Righteousness never rewarded
But the rich are nourished
Sucking the blood of the poor
They forced the poor
To sing their praises
They glory in ordinances
That they failed to observe
Perverted politics engulfed the land
The younger generations
Are not encouraged
They go about with woes
Contorted their faces
They open their mouth
To be filled with wind
They are wired by hunger
Which explodes into anger
They are haunted by terror
Their future become terror
Their discussion is on terror
Their plan is to unleash horror
They covet position
And intensely long for power
To increase their greed
And to satisfy their passion
‘Ajangbila’
I will pray for your progress
Earnestly seek your success
I will shun your foes
And embrace your friends
