'Akpeteshie' Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

'Akpeteshie'

Work is what you need but,
Food is the fuel of the body;
You are in your robe to rub your hands with the local gin!
'Akpeteshie';
This is the name of the local gin that you've been drinking all day long.

The pastor threw up after being caught up with the same local gin!
'Akpeteshie';
But, let us all practice what we preach in this life and live by the words! !
For, he was caught drunk and throwing up.

'Akpeteshie'!
The local gin that destroys my people without a clue;
And, they love to drink this local gin than, spending their money on food.
