Albeit Poem by Theresa Garces

Albeit

I have finally eaten through the marrow of life
broken my teeth on the bones
as I let the blood spill down my chin
my neck
my chest
let it soak my arms to the elbow
as I feast on the veins of the living
and deepen my thirst
for meaning
