This is a threshold poem. You have apparently already crossed the threshold and are telling your readers about the dynamics of your crossing and the new life that has happened. First of all let me say I'm happy for you, you are in a good place with a balanced sense of what you gained in the past and what you will gain in the present. Twice you bid farewell to nostalgia but I suspect this was a more difficult decision than the passages suggest, but that's part of your decision: to move forward from the past with only memories connecting you to it, not messy emotional ties (or chains) . I found your last three lines especially moving, because the Woman you have become on the other side of the threshold is detaching herself herself from the Woman she was - without bitterness or regret. You say THREE TIMES This Is Real, and your image of dancing into fate is wonderful. I sense you are still making sense of your New Being but everything inside you and around you displays the Joy of Self-Discovery. You poems were often a wrestling with Experience, this one is an Affirmation of Experience.
